Summer Learning Program

The Rainy River District School Board’s Summer Learning Program, for 2014-15 students in Early Years 2, Grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 provides children with a variety of activities designed to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills in a fun, relaxed environment.

This free research-based program is led by qualified teachers, and was expanded in 2014 to include six sites — North Star, Mine Centre, Robert Moore, J.W. Walker, Donald Young and Riverview — for two weeks in July.

The program takes place daily, from Monday to Friday, July 6 to July 17, 2015. The times may vary from site to site between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with each site's schedule running for 5.25 hours per day.

Nutritional snacks will be served. Transportation is the parents' responsibility with the exception of the Mine Centre School site where bussing will be available.
