Summer Learning Program

The Rainy River District School Board’s Summer Learning Program, for 2014-15 students in Early Years 2, Grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 provides children with a variety of activities designed to enhance their literacy and numeracy skills in a fun, relaxed environment.

This free research-based program is led by qualified teachers, and was expanded in 2014 to include six sites — North Star, Mine Centre, Robert Moore, J.W. Walker, Donald Young and Riverview — for two weeks in July.

The program takes place daily, from Monday to Friday, July 6 to July 17, 2015. The times may vary from site to site between the hours of 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with each site's schedule running for 5 hours per day.

Nutritional snacks will be served. Transportation is the parents' responsibility with the exception of the Mine Centre School site where bussing will be available.
