Recently, the Government of Ontario announced the creation of a province-wide statutory holiday known as Family Day. This day will occur on the third Monday in February of each year, beginning Monday, February 18, 2008, for the purpose of emphasizing and celebrating the importance of families taking time to be together.
Please be advised that schools will be closed on this day. With the exception of students having this addition day as a holiday, this decision has no additional influence on this year's school calendar.
