I'm new to the area - how do I register my child in school?

The Rainy River District School Board serves children age four and older. Courses for adults are also available. Download the Student Registration form or fill out the registration form online.

Once the online form has been submitted, families will receive a confirmation email and will be contacted by the school. Families will complete the final step in the registration process, such as signing the form and providing documentation.

Register your child at the school he or she will attend. Schools accept registrations throughout the school year, as well as one week after school gets out in June and one week prior to the start of school in late August. It's best to visit the school Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the school year. You can also contact your school to set up an appointment. You will find contact information for all our schools at in the Schools section of this website.

The 2024-2025 School Year is expected to be from September 3, 2024 to June 25, 2025.

  • bank statement/client slip (directly from financial institution)

  • federal government forms (e.g. Social Insurance Number, Service Canada documents)
  • purchase agreement

Proof of custody - children must live with their parent(s) unless provided documentation supports an alternate living arrangement Proof of immunization - proof that your child has been immunized/vaccinated
