Where do I send my application?

Applications can be directed to the Human Resources Department or to the Principal or Supervisor at the work location where the position(s) is available.

Please submit your covering letter, resume, Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, and three references (2 of which must be from a current or former supervisor) to:

Written authorization to contact references is to be included with the application in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. In addition, please include any relevant supporting documentation (i.e. practice teacher reports, current copies of the OCT Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Qualification). Teaching applications will be kept on file for 6 months. We thank all applicants, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted. At the present time, the Board does not have a standard application form.

 

How do I apply for an Occasional Teaching Position?

Applications for Occasional Teaching with the Rainy River District School Board are accepted at any time. Your name will be added to the Qualified Occasional Teacher list following the receipt of your OCT Certificate of Qualification, Criminal Background Check and TB Skin Test. The daily rate for qualified Elementary and Secondary Occasional Teaching is $188.81 (effective February 1, 2008)!
