- provide teacher support to implement Ministry of Education foundation training
- provide support through the facilitation or participation in monthly Professional Learning Communities
- assist with EQAO training for Grade 6 teachers
- work with Principals/Vice Principals/Teachers to disaggregate and analyze EQAO results and Item Information Reports as well as other common assessments necessary to develop effective programming that meets the needs of all students
- assist teachers in developing and implementing a balanced literacy program
- assist with moderated marking of CASI and Writing Exemplar assessments
- provide, select, and/or purchase professional and classroom resources for teachers and schools
- provide support for the implementation of system literacy and numeracy ie. System Long Range Plans, Curriculum Advisory Committee Initiatives, etc.
- provide teacher support and training with the revised curriculum documents in Language and Mathematics and other Ministry of Education documents used to support "best teaching' practices in the classroom ie. Literacy for Learning - The Report of the Expert Panel on Literacy in Grades 4 to6 in Ontario, A Guide to Effective Literacy Instruction, Education for All etc.
- assist with "Family Literacy" programming
- provide programming that supports "Boys and Literacy" initiatives
