assist schools in the implementation of their school improvement plan as it relates to literacy assist classroom teachers in the planning and implementation of a balanced literacy program provide support to Special Education teachers in the area of Literacy develop and implement a Board Literacy Plan train teachers in the use of the Reading and Writing Exemplars train and assist teachers in the moderation process of marking train and assist teachers in the use of the Developmental Reading Assessment train and assist teachers in the use of the Developmental Writing Assessment(Gr. 1-6) train and assist all teachers in preparation for the EQAO Grade 3, 6, testing provide professional resources for teachers in the areas of literacy provide classroom resources for teachers in the areas of literacy model balanced literacy lessons in classroom plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-service programs in the area of Literacy collaborate with other committees, and regional projects associated with Literacy keep abreast of new ideas and initiatives in the area of literacy
