- assist schools in the implementation of school improvement plans as it relates to Math, Science, Social Studies & Native Studies
- maintain ongoing personal professional development in Math and Science
- assist classroom teachers in the implementation of a balanced math program
- provide support to Special Education teachers in the area of Math
- provide training to teachers in Ministry Initiatives
- provide training to teachers in preparation for the EQAO grade 3 & 6 testing
- provide recommendations for purchases of textbooks and resource materials for schools
- continue to update resources for Central library
- train and assist teachers in the moderation process of marking
- plan, co-ordinate, and facilitate in-service programs in the area of mathematics
- collaborate with other committees, and regional projects associated with Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Native Studies
- provide resources to assist teachers with the implementation of Science Fair
