Congratulations to all the students in the Board who competed in the "Quest for Knowledge" in Rainy River First Nations on Tuesday, especially the junior team from Crossroads and both the junior and senior teams from Robert Moore who placed in the top three. The friendly competition, sponsored by Seven Generations Education Institute, brings communities, educators and students together to celebrate the rich culture and language of the Anishinaabeg in the area while promoting and commending academic achievement. In the junior division, St. Francis School earned first place, followed by Crossroads School in second, and Robert Moore School in third, while in the senior division, St. Francis again captured first, followed by Robert Moore School in second and Our Lady of the Way School in third. The event has run each year for the past 16 years with more than 1,500 students in Grades 5-8 having taken part in the event.
