The Sunset Country Regional Science Fair was held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Fort Frances High School, with students from both the Rainy River District School Board and Keewatin Patricia District School Board taking part. The winners in the junior division were: 1st. Angelina Nylund (KPDSB) UV Protection; 2nd. Chloe Dolyny and Monika Ruppenstein (RRDSB) Pearly Whites or Dark as Night?; and 3rd. Sullivan Wright (KPDSB) The Insulation Challenge. The winners in the senior division were: 1st. Angie Redford and Anna Schwartz (RRDSB) A "Major" Experiment with "Minor" Results; 2nd. Kolten Gagne (KPDSB) How Loud is Too Loud?; and 3rd. Sabrina Blais (KPDSB) What Do You See? The winners from the senior division will attend the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Regina in May.
