On Thursday, December 7, the students of North Star Community School were visited by members of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves to take part in Operation Radio Santa. Using a high powered radio, the students were able to make contact with Santa Claus at the North Pole to let him know what their Christmas wishes were. The children were excited to be able to talk directly to Santa and were very surprised to find out that he knew the names of their siblings and some of the things that they wanted before they even told him. Our appreciation goes out to the soldiers of the Canadian Armed Forces for making this a very special day for the Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes.
