On May 24, 2017, Fort Frances High School administration contacted police after a concern was brought forward regarding a report of a possible bomb threat. The OPP responded, police and administration both conducted an investigation, and the OPP have since laid charges. At no time was there an immediate threat to students. No actual detonation device was located or used by the accused. The Board’s Threat Assessment Protocol was followed in dealing with this incident. Safety of students and staff is always a priority for Rainy River District School Board and its schools. Communication has been sent out to parents and guardians. For more information:
