Cisco Canada and TakingITGlobal (TIG) today announced the expansion of their Connected North program into two more schools in the Rainy River District School Board. Fort Frances High School and McCrosson-Tovell will join the program alongside Mine Centre School, which officially launched the program in May, 2016. Using Cisco TelePresence® videoconferencing, students are connected to a range of virtual education and youth mental health and wellness services, educators, Indigenous mentors, and peers across the country. An official launch took place this morning at Fort Frances High School, with the Grade 7/8 Ojibwe students connecting with students at the Toronto District School Board’s (TDSB) First Nations School of Toronto.
