Capital Update:
- Trustees awarded the installation of stage lifts at Crossroads and Sturgeon Creek schools to M Builds in the amount of $415,600.
New Student Trustees:
- The Board welcomed new student trustees Karsyn Mainville of Fort Frances High School and Ava Hartnell or Rainy River K-12 School for the 2026-2028 term.
Employee Recognition:
- Cindy Tysz, Sonja Ahrens, and Liane Toriseva were recognized for their retirements from the Rainy River District School Board.
School Recognition – Summer Learning Programming 2026:
- Special Education Administrator Heather Bridgeman-Swire and Alternative Education Administrator Jennifer Leishman provided a presentation on the summer programming opportunities offered through the Rainy River District School Board over July and August 2026.
Strategic Plan Review:
- CEO/CedO Campbell provided a report outlining the RRDSB’s priorities to support the Strategic Plan for the 2026-2027 school year.
Policies Approved:
- Trustees approved Policies 2.80 Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy, 8.24 Fundraising, and 1.43 Trustee Honorarium and rescinded Policy 2.81 Records and Information Management.
