Rainy River District

The Employee of the Year award is for an individual or individuals who:

• contributes to a school culture of inclusion, community and respect

• makes an exceptional contribution to the school community

• shows an outstanding commitment to supporting schools and/or students

• has a positive, helpful and caring attitude

• develops and maintains high levels of enthusiasm, motivation and commitment that enhances learning and the working environments

• has been a positive force for change and has improved the school community.

This award would be open to members of all employee groups, with nominations being brought forward by peers and/or supervisors.  Persons nominating themselves, their spouses or family members are not eligible for this award. 

The Rainy River District School Board Bus Driver Award is a way to celebrate school bus drivers who have excelled in safety, reliability and customer relations. In many cases, on a daily basis, the bus drivers are the first and last school district contact with students. Their challenging profession requires them to maintain the safety and control of students while safely navigating the bus in many types of road conditions and weather.

In order to be eligible for this award, the driver must transport students of the Rainy River District School Board and must drive a school bus on a daily basis.

The Rainy River District School Board Volunteer Award is a way to celebrate the important contributions of volunteers toward student success in Board schools. This contribution of time and talent by special community volunteers provides additional attention for our students and strengthens our partnership with the surrounding community.

This award is open to individuals, volunteer organizations, and coaches whose volunteer activities benefit students in Board schools in a substantial, important or unique way. Board employees; persons nominating themselves, their spouses or family members; and those who received compensation for services provided are not eligible for this award.

The Rainy River District School Board Community Partner Award is a way to celebrate the important contributions of Community Partners toward student success in Board schools. This contribution of time and talent by Community Partners provides additional attention for our students and strengthens our partnership with the surrounding community.

This award is open to Community Partners whose activities benefit students in Board schools in a substantial, important or unique way. Board employees and persons nominating themselves, their spouses or family members are not eligible for this award.
