We are very sorry that the October 20 trial of the online OSSLT was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, we experienced widespread technical issues with the network and, as a result, we had to cancel the trial assessment. We do not yet exactly know the root cause of the issue, but we are undertaking a thorough investigation.

On October 12, 2016, the Rainy River District School Board reached a tentative agreement at the local level with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) 5B occasional teachers.

With the start of the new school year, it’s a great time to celebrate the successes of the last year. The Rainy River District School Board is excited to recognize the achievements of Grade 8 Student at J.W. Walker, Angie Redford, who earned a bronze medal at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Montreal in May 2016.
