The Rainy River District School Board last month approved the move of Grade 7-8 students to Fort Frances High School to address over-capacity at the west-end elementary school.

The Rainy River District School Board is pleased to announce that it ratified an agreement with Local 65 Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) at the March 1, 2016 Regular Board Meeting. CUPE Local 65, representing approximately 60 casual and 70 permanent local CUPE members, ratified the tentative agreement on February 25, 2016.

Walker School Grades 7 and 8 students are moving to Fort Frances High School to address the overcapacity issue at J.W. Walker School, effective August 29, 2016. School Board Administration will be scheduling meetings throughout the upcoming months for J.W. Walker School parents, students, and staff of both schools to dialogue and prepare for this transition.
