“They always seem to find a way to do it,” said the head coach of the newly-crowned OFSAA ‘A/AA’ boys’ hockey champion Muskies after they captured the program’s fourth provincial title with a 5-3 win over the Silverthorn Spartans (Toronto) in the gold-medal game last Thursday afternoon in Ottawa. Davis made his remarks on the floor of the ’52 Canadians Arena on Saturday after the team had been honoured in a special homecoming celebration with the stands filled with their family and friends hollering their excitement.

Although no one knew it at the time, the game between the fifth-ranked Muskie boys’ hockey team and the No. 18 Frontenac Falcons (Kingston) on the opening morning of the OFSAA ‘A/AA’ championship in Ottawa last week proved to be a battle of juggernauts.

The Rainy River District School Board is pleased to announce that it ratified an agreement with Local 65 Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) at the March 1, 2016 Regular Board Meeting. CUPE Local 65, representing approximately 60 casual and 70 permanent local CUPE members, ratified the tentative agreement on February 25, 2016.
