Recognition of Excellence

Employee Recognition:

Congratulations to the following employees on reaching career milestones!

25 Years of Employment:

 Tanya Kroocmo, Charlayne Bliss, Tamara McLean, and Michelle Mosbeck.

School Recognition: Mine Centre School's Annual Pow Wow

Principal Cecilia Stewart provided a presentation on Mine Centre School’s Pow Wow. This annual event exemplifies excellence in cultural learning, student well‑being, and community partnerships. Guided by Elders and Knowledge Keepers, the Pow Wow provides students with authentic, hands‑on experiences that honour Indigenous traditions and deepen cultural understanding.

System-Program/Curriculum Success:

First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Education Lead Kim Kirk and First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Education Coordinator Karen Papineau provided an update on the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit Education Board Action Plan for 2025-2026. The plan focuses on four key areas: supporting students, supporting educators, using data to support student achievement, and engagement and awareness building.
