Ontario's government is protecting what matters most by investing in new local schools to help provide our students with a world-class education system that ensures they have the skills they need to succeed. The province has approved addition and renovation at Rainy River HS. The addition will add 222 new pupil places to the school, as well as two child care rooms and an EarlyON Child and Family Centre.

“This important addition to Rainy River High School is great news for our community,” said Minister Greg Rickford, MPP for Kenora–Rainy River. “The added spaces, improved school building, and child care rooms are a great example of public dollars at work.”

Ontario recently announced Education that Works for You, a new plan to modernize curriculum, modernize classrooms and empower educators to better prepare students for the realities of today's modern world. By supporting school infrastructure needs, the government is helping education work for communities like Rainy River as part of a plan to deliver the world-class education system that our students deserve.
