Our schools are marking Treaties Recognition Week this week (November 1-7, 2021) by teaching students the importance of treaties, as well as treaty rights and obligations, to help create greater understanding and nurture relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
A variety of resources have been provided to staff to lead age-appropriate lessons and discussions about treaty rights, treaty relationships and their relevance today.
