Valentine Project of Hope
Riverview students participated in the Valentine Project of Hope with the Kenora/Rainy River Alzheimer Society by creating one-of-a-kind Valentine cards for the residents of the long-term care homes and hospitals in the Rainy River District. Students were able to spread cheer and have a tremendous impact on people living with dementia by giving hope, lifting spirits, and providing encouragement.

During Black History Month, we celebrate the many achievements and contributions of Black Canadians and their communities who throughout history have done so much to make Canada a culturally diverse, compassionate, and prosperous country.

The Period Purse Presentations
Students in Grades 5-12 will be participating in interactive presentations this month from The Period Purse, a not-for-profit Canadian organization. Their mission is to create menstrual equity by ensuring sustainable access to period products for all. They also aim to end the stigma associated with periods through education and advocacy.
