Local Pharmacies Support Distribution of Rapid Antigen Tests to District Secondary Students
The Rainy River District School Board recognizes its partnership with local pharmacies to support the distribution of Rapid Antigen Tests to our secondary students.
The Government of Ontario committed that each student within a publicly funded school would take home a Rapid Antigen screening kit prior to the Winter Break. With the Ministry re-shipment of Rapid Antigen screening kits arriving on the evening of Friday, December 17th and schools closed for the Break, the Rainy River District School Board partnered with our district pharmacies to distribute the kits to secondary students.
Beginning the afternoon of Monday, December 20th, Atikokan High School students can pick up a Rapid Antigen test kit at the Rexall Drug Store, and Rainy River High School students can pick up a kit at Rainy River Drugs IDA.
Rapid Antigen screening kits were available for pick up at Fort Frances High School on Monday, December 20th from 10 am – 2 pm and then from Fort Frances Pharmasave beginning on Tuesday, December 21st.
Secondary students are asked to bring identification, either a student card or timetable, when picking up their test kit.
The Board is so grateful to our district pharmacies for helping us to distribute the kits, as by working together, we can help to ensure everyone has a healthy and safer holiday.
