Count Us In - RRDSB Student Census

Count Us In

To fulfill our mission of educating and inspiring all students to achieve their full potential in a safe and caring environment, the Rainy River District School Board conducted a voluntary and confidential Student Census from April 25-May 6, 2022 to better understand the backgrounds, experiences and needs of our students and communities.

Count Us In - RRDSB Student Census gathered identity-based student data to ensure that our programming and resources can be accessed by all students. Are there any barriers in the way of students achieving their very best? For example, do disabilities, language spoken, cultural background, and so on impact student success? No specific students are identified through the data; patterns and trends are identified but not specific students.

The census is a Ministry of Education initiative that is intended to “foster policies, procedures and practices that are equitable and inclusive for all students – regardless of background, social identity or personal circumstances – and that support closing achievement and opportunity gaps.”
