Kindergarten Information

The Rainy River District School Board provides a Full-Day Kindergarten Program that is an all day, every day program for students who are four and five years of age. The program builds strong foundations for our youngest learners and provides a high quality inclusive program. Our Kindergarten classrooms are exciting places for children to learn with both a qualified classroom teacher and a certified Early Childhood Educator. Our caring and supportive Kindergarten teams foster children’s natural curiosity, often allowing students to direct the learning in their areas of interest through authentic and hands-on learning opportunities. Our high quality programming focuses on the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of all children and enhances children's reading, writing and math skills for future success.

Roots of Empathy
Before and After school programming available at some schools
School Support Services offers supports to schools in the areas of Literacy, Numeracy, Speech and Language, Special Education, Indigenous Language and programming support from Behavioural Therapists
Mental health supports including in-school counselling services, building student mental health knowledge, and teaching social-emotional learning skills
