Board Meeting Highlights – February 6, 2024
Trustee Resignation
The Rainy River District School Board of Trustees accepted Trustee Michael Graham's letter of resignation and declared the trustee seat vacant for the town of Fort Frances and unorganized areas, effective February 6, 2024.
That the Rainy River District School Board of trustees, in accordance with the Education Act and Policy 1.07 The Role of the Board, appoint a qualified person to fulfill Trustee Graham's term.
Trustee, Jeff Lehman, who represents the Township of Atikokan and surrounding area, was acclaimed as the Ontario Public School Board Association (OPSBA) Representative. Vice-Chair, Mike Walchuk, who represents the Town of Fort Frances and Unorganized Areas East of Fort Frances, was acclaimed as the Alternate OPSBA Representative.
Trustee, John Fuhrer, who represents the Township of Emo, Kingsford, Fleming, Senn, McLarty, Nestor Falls, Township of Chapple, Unorganized area north of Chapple (excepting Lake of the Woods) is appointed to the Policy Committee.
