Aligning with the RRDSB's strategic priorities outlined in the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan and the annual operating plan, the budget development process determines the distribution of resources for the 2024-2025 school year.
Funding for School Boards:
The Rainy River District School Board primarily receives funding from the province through Grants for Student Needs. This funding is mainly allocated based on mandated class sizes and staffing ratios, with specific areas designated by the Ministry for funding. Funding is specifically earmarked for special education, student mental health, indigenous education, transportation, temporary accommodations, and capital projects.
